As the search for a new GOP House speaker turns into a giant tire fire with the withdrawal of leading candidate Rep. Kevin McCarthy from the race, the party needs all the help it can get. With that can come some unwanted assistance from political foes.

Such is the case with this Craigslist ad posted to social media by California congressman Mark Takano, a Democrat, which he whipped up to help his colleagues find a new leader. (Don't bother looking for it on Craigslist; the ad was either taken down immediately or never made it to the published phase, Takano was probably happy enough with a simple screenshot.)

It seems like we’re having a hard time finding the next Speaker, so I created a Craigslist ad to boost our search. pic.twitter.com/JrYX5w9OVA— Mark Takano (@RepMarkTakano) October 8, 2015

Here's a larger, easier to read version.

The entire ad is full of shade directed at the GOP, particularly the "requirements" section, which includes the line: "Babysitting experience STRONGLY PREFERRED."

At least someone's having fun while the GOP struggles to stay intact, making fake ads and enjoying smoothies.
