While we cannot highlight the thousands upon thousands of insightful and talented developers on Twitter, we have found a breadth of insightful, successful, and helpful developers and designers that encompass the many languages, companies, and people that make up the world of development. We don't claim you'll be able to build the next revolutionary social media company by following these 20 people, but they can definitely help make you a better programmer.

We don't want this list of 20 to be the end of your developer education, so if you have a favorite developer that you think others will gain by following, we encourage you to link to them and provide a bit of background.

1. Eric Meyer
