DietTelevision, the online community for dieters, health and fitness, has changed its name and gotten some investment funding. The site launched its public beta less than two months ago--read our initial write-up here. The name change will officially take effect tomorrow.

Now going by the name of DietTV, the company has closed a $2 million Series A round of investment, led by MentorTech Ventures. The company has indicated that it will use the funds to enhance the website and market its service. Included in the announcement is the appointment of Michael B. Aronson and Elain K. Rubin to its Board of Directors. Aronson is the managing director of MentorTech Ventures, and Rubin is the Chairman of Shop.org and a former executive at Amazon Enterprise Solutions, 1800Flowers and iVillage.
