Last night, Digg finally launched a section to allow users to submit and vote on images. Meanwhile, competitor Propeller (formerly Netscape) recently passed the 400,000 user mark, while upstart Mixx just received funding from the LA Times. There is also Reddit, which has enjoyed some success in challenging Digg and was acquired by Wired Digital last year. We also took a look at six lesser-known alternatives a few months ago.
