[img src="" caption="" credit="" alt=""]I've now received responses from both so-called "Digg-clones", CoRank and Mename, regarding the hot story in the Spanish blogosphere about an imminent acquisition of both sites by Digg. Both parties have stated to Mashable that Digg is not the acquirer, with Meneame saying "all I can tell you is that Digg is not involved in this affair, as far as I know" and that the details of this "affair" will be made available around the 28th of December. CoRank, meanwhile, stated:
All this started because I posted in my personal blog in Spanish that "soon I'll tell you about some big news", and the Meneame guys posted a similar thing, then some Spanish bloggers started to speculate that the big news were that Digg is about to acquire both companies...this time I can tell you that Digg has nothing to do with this.
