Digsby, the IM client that recently passed one million users, is adding a host of interesting new features today that should appeal to those that are also big social networkers.
Since the status update we know today was inspired by IM (i.e. – away messages), it’s fitting that Digsby is now offering a global status feature, which won’t just update your IM status, but also push a status update to the networks of your choice, including Twitter, Facebook, and MySpace.
On top of that, Digsby has launched its own URL shortener – Digs.by – which is built right into the client so you can quickly share a link across social sites. There’s built-in link tracking too, so you can see how many clicks your links get.
