The Halloween season brings out the celebratory spirit in all of us -- including extinct reptiles that arguably never got their swing at dressing up.

Behold a striking photo series of majestic dinosaurs of every shape and size conquering the fall season by cloaking themselves in the fashion statement of the moment: gourds.

As part of an exhibition in Erfurt, Germany, titled "Fantastical Fairy-tale World," these dolled-up dinosaurs are composed almost entirely of pumpkins and other assorted gourds. According to ZUMA Press, the number of pumpkins used in the exhibition totaled more than 100,000.

If dinosaurs were still around, they'd most likely be hiding out in our pumpkin patches, waiting to pounce on our Halloween candy.
