Disney Princesses After the Fairy Tales End

Fairy tales are idealized stories, omitting the hard truths of real life. So what happens after the magical ending -- when Snow White's prince isn't helping with the kids, and Cinderella is drinking her sorrows away?

In Dina Goldstein's photo series Fallen Princesses, the artist takes a darker approach to Disney's iconic fairy tales. From Pocahontas home alone with her cats to Jasmine in the midst of warfare, Goldstein places these and other fabled ladies in some difficult situations.

The artworks definitely give a whole new meaning to the phrase, "happily ever after." See all of them, here.
