One Man Gives Ariel a Voice in 'Little Mermaid' Cover

Disney asked fans to "find their voice" for its newest contest and submit their best cover of a classic song from The Little Mermaid.

But Nick Pitera, who works as a Pixar animator, didn't find just one voice -- he found nine.

In this a cappella version of The Little Mermaid classic "Kiss the Girl," Pitera masters the voices of Sebastian, Prince Eric, various sea creatures and the background instruments.

Pitera told Mashable that he really had to push himself to get the song right, as it was his first attempt recording an a cappella performance. But since it was such a fun song with so many characters, he said, the song lent itself well to his approach.

Disney's Find Your Voice contest required users to post videos of themselves singing songs from The Little Mermaid in hopes of winning a studio recording experience. The contest ends Aug. 31.

You can check out Pitera's YouTube channel page for his other recordings. And who knows -- one of these days, you just might hear his voice in a Pixar film.
