It's not easy to find a long-lasting lip balm with a natural tint for under $5. Nowadays, a tube of high-end gloss can run you a steep $25 or more. We're all for moisturized lips, but I'm not about to fork over 90 percent of my grocery budget for something I could make at home for cheap.
There are tons of recipes for homemade lip glosses, balms and stains that vary in ingredients and pigmentation. The one constant is not costing you a wallet-full of cash to DIY. Because there are just some things you should never have to buy.
