Novak Djokovic and Andy Murray are known for challenging each other to intense, marathon-length matches during the most high-stakes tournaments in the tennis world.

Monday's showdown was a little different.

The two took part in an exhibition match at Madison Square Garden to promote World Tennis Day. Since the match had no real implications, the normally fierce competitors were relaxed and full of antics in order to entertain the fans.

Djokovic paused to help Murray out by massaging his quad after a tiring volley, and he submitted himself to push-ups after committing an unforced error that sent an easy point flying over the court.

However, the highlight of the evening came when the two stars met at the net for a selfie between games.

Murray's selfie went for the more conservative approach.

And, while Djokovic showed some playful affection in his selfie, he could use some pointers in image clarity.

Kind a cute,right? :-) #bnpparibasshowdown. NYC-MSG.. love it! pic.twitter.com/KCIM44H4FA— Novak Djokovic (@DjokerNole) March 4, 2014

While both men are well-known around the world, neither of their tweets received more than 5,000 retweets — a far cry from Ellen's infamous selfie during the Oscars, with its millions of RTs.
