INDIO, California -- This is how Ruff Ryders roll at Coachella. Step one: Be DMX. Step two: Complete a crowd-pleasing surprise performance. Step three: Hit up Walmart.
Veteran rapper DMX did just that during DJ Snake's Friday night set, which also featured hip-hop duo Rae Sremmurd and electronic duo AlunaGeorge at the overflowing Sahara stage.
The 44-year-old's easily recognizable raspy growl turned heads from a distance, with passersby stopping at the sound of his voice, then flailing their arms to the beat of "Party Up (Up In Here)" and "Ruff Ryder's Anthem."
