Try not to panic: 'Doctor Who' has disappeared from Netflix and Hulu

Thus ends the era of the Time Lord...for now, anyway.

Doctor Who is no longer available for streaming on Netflix or Hulu, the platforms where it found a following of overseas fans since the series' reboot in 2005.

The BBC pulled the show from other streaming services at the end of January -- likely in order to host them on its own streaming service, which was announced last year. However, BBC has not currently announced further details about that streaming service, including its launch date, countries of availability and which shows it will host.

In the meantime, diehard Whovians can catch up on the current season via BBC America, and previous seasons via purchase on Amazon, iTunes or Google Play.
