SAN DIEGO -- Ever wanted to see The Doctor drive the Batmobile? Well, in the world of Lego Dimensions that dream is now a reality.

Late Wednesday, just as the crowds were starting to build at San Diego Comic-Con, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment unveiled the first look at Doctor Who in Lego Dimensions, an upcoming game in which worlds collide.

One minute the Doctor is chatting up Batman and the next he's fighting Daleks with Scooby-Doo.

Doctor Who cast members Peter Capaldi, Jenna Coleman and Michelle Gomez, all of whom lend their voices to the game, were on hand for the big coming out bash.

"I'm proud to be the most unpleasant Lego character there's ever been," deadpanned Capaldi, who was jokingly told that his character was among the scowliest in Lego history.

Capaldi himself, meanwhile, was full of smiles during the event, particularly when a demonstration showed off one of the games' coolest features: the ability to transform into all 12 Doctors.

When the 12th Doctor (Capaldi) is defeated in the level, he returns as the 1st Doctor and then regenerates back up to the 12th Doctor again. And the inside of the TARDIS always reflects the corresponding Doctor.

This feature was a crowd pleaser.

The new game launches Sept. 27. A Doctor Who Level Pack, which includes an additional mission-based Doctor Who level, will also be available on that date.
