Freshpet is so confident in the quality of its dog food that it thinks people would even enjoy it.

In its latest ad, the company disguised its packaged canine chow as human meals like a hamburger, chicken tacos and spaghetti and meatballs --all topped with gourmet garnishes -- and served it up to unsuspecting taste testers.

They then filmed their expressions of surprise, disgust and, in some cases, indifference after they revealed the secret ingredient.

"Do you have a doggy bag?" one unaffected diner asks.

The taste testers were surprisingly good sports about the revelation, perhaps to save face after raving about their food seconds earlier. One even said it was the best burger he had ever tasted.

But maybe they were just being polite. After all, a real five-star meal probably wouldn't leave you with sneaking suspicions that you were eating pet food: "I was gonna say this tastes like dog food, but I didn't want anyone to think I'd eaten dog food!"
