They are brothers from another mother. Or, the Romeo and Juliet of the animal kingdom.
It's the story of a dog named Honey and a white lion cub named Kwanza who met at the zoo and instantly fell in love. Not even "BFFs 4 Eva" could represent the bond these two mammals share.
YouTuber Adam Cox explains on his YouTube page that Kwanza's mother was originally rearing him but then stopped producing milk, which left him in the capable hands of the Darling Downs Zoo in Pilton, Queensland.
Unfortunately, the pals have an expiration date on their friendship. Cox writes that when Kwanza grows up, he will "need to work on his lion friendships," but reassures us that Honey will not be lonely because "she is adored by the zoo owners."
But for now, just watch them wrestle, play and paw at each other without a care in the world.
