A true artist is able to capture things not just the way they are, but the way they should be.

When commissioned to create a painting for Redditor MakesEthanol's dog, artist David Carr took one look at the dog and began creating the wealthy aristocrat he saw hidden inside the little pup's fuzzy frame.

And as you can see, this dog couldn't be happier with the results. It's like he is finally seeing himself as it has always imagined. Powerful. Dignified. Land-owning.

Artist David Carr was almost as happy to create the piece as the dog was to receive it.

Now get this dog his smoking jacket, and a stiff glass of whiskey. He has many financial propositions to mull over.
