Some fireworks are awe-inspiring, other are just, well...crap.
In the video, above, YouTube user Scott Malott demonstrates what happens when you light a "Bad Dog" firework. Instead of generating pretty sparks, it produces a poop-like substance. Bad Dog, it seems, is great for pranks -- but maybe not for your family's Fourth of July picnic.
A Redditor noted that the firework's reaction looks similar to mercury thiocyanate, an inorganic chemical compound that creates a "snake" when ignited.
Don't try this at home, kids.
