Jan Brown is on a mission to keep dogs warm -- one sweater at a time.

The 52-year-old woman from Sunderland, England, has knitted more than 300 festive sweaters for homeless greyhounds, according to Caters News Agency. The wool knits are made with care; just one can take Brown up to 20 hours to complete.

Some of Brown's knits even have sporty pom-pom hoods, because there's no such thing as too much holiday cheer, especially for an abandoned pooch.

This isn't Brown's first foray into canine-friendly apparel. For the last five years, she's created Father Christmas outfits, hats, antlers and scarves for pups. This basically makes her the Santa Claus of dogs, right?

Brown joins the proud company of Nicole Congdon, who is knitting tank tops for chickens this holiday season.
