6 dogs jump out of stopped vehicle following car chase, run around highway

McGruff the Crime Dog would be so disappointed.

California Highway Patrol officers had their hands full after a car chase on Route 91 Monday night. After ordering a woman to get out of her car following an hour-long pursuit, police were surprised to see several dogs jump out of the vehicle and run around the highway.

Traffic was stopped in all lanes while officers pursued the dogs.

In lieu of their Miranda rights, the dogs were told they were "good boys, very good boys."
