'American Pie' singer Don McLean speaks out about domestic violence arrest

"I hope I will not be judged in this frantic media environment."

Don McLean has made his first public statement since his Monday arrest in Maine for domestic violence assault. The "American Pie" singer-songwriter offered a brief but heartfelt explanation for his troubled home life.
