Don Pardo died Monday, robbing the world of the booming baritone voice that introduced us to legions of comedians and actors.

The legendary TV and radio announcer, 96 at the time of death, was best known for working on Saturday Night Live, as the iconic voice that opened the show every week. But he also made history by announcing several other NBC news and game show programs over 60 years.
