Donald Trump is done with Fox News. Done!

Again.

The Donald tweeted on Wednesday that he would no longer go on the cable news channel for the "foreseeable future."

Once kindred spirits of the more vocal precincts of the Republican party, Trump and Fox News have been on the outs ever since the first Republican debate, in which he took issue with the questions and tone of the moderators. One of those moderators was Megyn Kelly, among the most popular and visible of the Fox News personalities, with whom Trump publicly feuded.

.@FoxNews has been treating me very unfairly & I have therefore decided that I won't be doing any more Fox shows for the foreseeable future.— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) September 23, 2015

Fox News, for its part, issued a dry statement in response.

Trump's second turn against Fox News suggests he may be going back to the well for techniques that worked well before in keeping him in the public eye. Trump's seemingly unstoppable rise to the Republican presidential candidacy seems to have slowed recently. Carly Fiorina outshined Trump in the second debate, and he's cooled off in recent polls.

He does, however, remain the frontrunner for the GOP nomination in the many polls asking voters how they would theoretically vote.

Trump's initial spat with Fox News following the first debate seemed to have been squashed, but over the past few days, Trump has been retweeting other users that have been criticizing Fox News for how it covers him.

He seemed to have been set off this time by Bill O'Reilly, with whom Trump has almost always been cordial.

.@oreillyfactor was very negative to me in refusing to to post the great polls that came out today including NBC. @FoxNews not good for me!— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) September 22, 2015

.@oreillyfactor, why don't you have some knowledgeable talking heads on your show for a change instead of the same old Trump haters. Boring!— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) September 22, 2015

Trump even seems to be shifting gears a bit. He appeared onThe Late Show with Stephen Colbert on Tuesday night and appeared surprisingly level in comparison to his recent boisterousness on the campaign trail. He even declined to answer Colbert's question over where Trump thinks U.S. President Barack Obama was born.
