WASHINGTON — Donald Trump on Monday released health records from his personal physician that make the case that the 69-year-old businessman would be the "healthiest individual ever elected to the presidency."
The letter was written by Harold N. Bornstein and reads with the same bluster as a Trump stump speech.
According to Bornstein, a recent examination of Trump showed "only positive results," including lab tests that came back "astonishingly excellent" and concluded that his physical strength and stamina were "extraordinary."

Bornstein went on to say that Trump has slimmed down in the past year, losing 15 pounds over the past 12 months and has never suffered from cancer, joint replacements or other orthopedic surgery. Trump also has no history of "ever using alcohol or tobacco products," According to Bornstein.
Trump released the report after a Politico article questioned whether Trump was withholding his records to hide poor health.

"I am proud to share this report, written by the highly respected Dr. Jacob Bornstein of Lenox Hill Hospital, stating that I am in excellent health," Trump wrote in a news release, misidentifying the doctor who penned the letter. Jacob Bornstein was Trump's previous doctor, who died in 2010. Trump's current doctor is Jacob Bornstein's son.
