Would you be embarrassed if you lost an election poll to a fruit?
That's the question likely spinning in the mind of fairly Twitter-savvy presidential candidate Donald Trump, as the lowly avocado thoroughly trounced him in a Twitter poll on Sunday.

A Twitter account called AvocadoFact tweeted what seemed like a fun and harmless message on July 1: Who would you rather have in office? rt for an avocado. fav for donald trump?
As of this writing, the avocado is beating Trump, with 61,367 retweets versus Trump's 5,987 favorites.

Trump's increasing unpopularity is due in part to recent comments he made regarding Mexican immigrants. The backlash has led to several major business partners severing ties with Trump and even fellow Republican candidates distancing themselves from the outspoken real estate mogul.
Of course, some of those Trump vs. Avocado retweets and favs were likely made simply because Twitter users thought the tweet was funny. But the slanted result is damning: Many would rather have guacamole dip in the White House rather than The Donald.
