Note: This post contains information about Season 6, Episode 5 of Downton Abbey, which has started airing its final season in the UK. American viewers can watch the final season starting Jan. 3 on PBS.

We need to talk about something that happened in Sunday night's episode of Downton Abbey. That is if you aren't already in treatment for shock.

In case you missed it, Lord Crawley's stomach ulcer erupted in spectacular fashion in a moment some are comparing to The Game of Throne's infamous Red Wedding scene.

First we were cautioned by the "shocking scenes" warning that came before the episode.

Don't think I'm mentally prepared for the "shocking scenes" in downton abbey rn— Hannah Patt (@hannah_patt) October 18, 2015

Downton Abbey seems to have gone all Game of Thrones. Good. I approve. Finish the next series with another Red Wedding.— Dr. Hoik (@GetItQuietly) October 18, 2015
