Someone page Dumbledore, the Sorting Hat is broken.

Tom Felton, the actor who portrayed Draco Malfoy in the Harry Potter films, tweeted Wednesday that he finally joined Pottermore, the official fansite for the series, and was sorted into Gryffindor. *Gasp*

Today was the day. I finally did it. I joined Pottermore and was sorted into........Gryffindor. Heart broken x #slytherinforlife— Tom Felton (@TomFelton) January 21, 2015

A note for the Muggles among us: Malfoy was the ultimate Slytherin, even becoming a Death Eater in his sixth year at Hogwarts.

And it seems the series' creator J.K. Rowling, agrees with the Pottermore results -- likely meaning that Felton, not Malfoy, is a stand-up chap worthy of sporting crimson and gold alongside Harry, Hermione and Ron.

.@TomFelton I could've told you that years ago. I just didn't want to spoil your motivation ;)— J.K. Rowling (@jk_rowling) January 21, 2015

In other news, The Daily Prophet is reporting Lucius Malfoy is checking himself into St Mungo's Hospital for Magical Maladies and Injuries, because he literally can't with this.
