Five feet of lake-effect snow blanketed locations in upstate New York on Tuesday, in a storm that has been dubbed #snowvember.

Snow warnings continued in the area through Wednesday night, after locations near Buffalo were nearing the national record of 76 inches of snow in less than 24 hours. The storm also killed six people, and left more than 100 motorists stranded on the New York State Thruway overnight.
