2015 was a beautiful year for food porn.

A combination of ethereal lighting, vibrant colors and epic amounts of melted cheese made for the year's most irresistible food photography.

On Instagram alone, there are over 159 million posts hashtagged #food, to say nothing of #eeeats, #putaneggonit or other food-centric tags meant to lead all food lovers to gorgeous, hunger-inducing photography.

This is one feast that's a treat for the eyes as well as the stomach.
