Do you want to hear the most annoying sound in the world? You've come to the right place.

A video of a single hand squeezing a basket full of rubber ducks was uploaded by Instagram user Kevin Synnes on August 29. A few other users have reuploaded the video as their own on YouTube, Reddit and Vine, however, Synnes claims to be the original creator.

At first glance it seems unlikely that a video of synthetic birds moaning in agony, desperate to be freed from their retail prison, would have mass appeal. However, we should never underestimate the potential of the Internet to make a meme out of just about anything.

Naturally, people could not resist taking the ducks' horrifying sound and turning it into a hilarious joke for the world to enjoy.
