Diamond was convicted earlier this year of carrying a concealed weapon and disorderly conduct at a bar in Wisconsin, where he pulled out a knife last Christmas. He was cleared of a felony charge but charged with both as misdemeanors. In an appeal, Diamond said that he was acting in defense of his girlfriend, Amanda Schutz.

"I want it to be clear that this situation will be not repeated again," Diamond told the court earlier.

The sentence, which was supposed to begin in June, begins Jan. 15.
