The worst of Wednesday's storm has passed, but many people in the Northeastern United States are still feeling its effects.

More than 350,000 people are without power in the region, and some may not have it restored for several days.

Snowfall from Wednesday through Thursday morning totaled between 3 and 18 inches across New England, according to the National Weather Service. The highest totals were in New Hampshire, Vermont and Maine.

The outages were a result of the storm's unique combination of wet, heavy snow and high winds. Massachusetts and Rhode Island saw winds as high as 50 miles per hour.

On Thursday morning, there were about 180,000 customers without power in New Hampshire, 78,000 in Maine and 55,000 in New York -- the hardest-hit states. There were also scattered outages in other states.

If you are without power, Twitter is a great way to keep up with the latest from your power company.

The Public Service of New Hampshire has thousands of customers without power in the southern part of the state.

“We do anticipate, unfortunately, that some of our customers will not have power likely for a couple of days,” Public Service Company of New Hampshire spokesperson Marin Murray told ABC News. “It’s going to take that long to restore power to all of customers, unfortunately.”

New Jersey's Jersey Central Power and Light has crews out responding to outages. Its outage map shows a few hundred customers without power, an improvement since earlier Thursday morning when there were a few thousand.
