Emma Watson's moving and articulate speech at the United Nations last week, which encouraged men to embrace feminism and support a new campaign called HeForShe, has done just that.

In particular, it caught the attention of 15-year-old Ed Holtom in the UK.

Holtom was so inspired by Watson's words that he penned a letter to the Sunday Telegraph about gender norms and his disappointment with his classmates at an all boys private school for not rallying behind the cause.

Holtom echoes many of the themes in Watson's U.N. speech.

"Feminism is not about man-hating or female supremacy," he writes. He goes on to encourage everyone to make an active effort in changing their language and stop "pressuring each other to fit stereotypes."

Holtom originally assumed no one would take interest in his thoughts, he told The Telegraph, but he is happy the letter is gaining traction on social media.

"It's nice to see loads of people agree with my views," he said.

@EdHoltom 15 years old and you already have more insight and understanding of the equality agenda than many 3 times your age! Well said!— sharron stanley (@georgidog15) September 28, 2014
