Ed Sheeran, our modern-day male master of live duets, hopped onstage with The Rolling Stones to perform the 1978 classic "Beast of Burden" over the weekend.

Sheeran received a phone call from Mick Jagger on Friday and learned the song in just one day before playing it Saturday during the band's tour stop in Kansas City, Missouri.

In the past year alone, the 24-year-old English singer-songwriter has sang impressive duets with Beyoncé, Demi Lovato, Macklemore, Taylor Swift, Kermit the Frog and an unsuspecting mall performer. But he seemed particularly enamored about performing alongside Jagger.

"They're one of the greatest living bands," he says in the video, below. "All of them have done so much for so many people musically. It was a pleasure to be able to play with them."

The Rolling Stones also have a long list of duets. Two years ago in Las Vegas, the band brought out Katy Perry to deliver a more animated rendition of "Beast of Burden."
