Everything Everywhere Announces First LTE Network in the UK

Everything Everywhere has started rolling out the first 4G network in the UK. The company, which is being rebranded to EE, also plans to launch seven LTE-supporting devices in the coming weeks, one of which will be Nokia's brand new Lumia 920.

The first UK cities to get 4G, starting today, will be London, Birmingham, Cardiff, and Bristol. EE promises that Edinburgh, Belfast, Leeds, Sheffield, Manchester, Liverpool, Newcastle, Nottingham, Derby, and others will get it by Christmas.

Viber Hits 100 Million Users, Reaches New Platforms

VoIP and messaging application Viber has announced it now has more than 100 million users on all the platforms it supports. So far these were iOS, Android and Windows Phone, but the app is now also available for Nokia S40, Symbian and Bada platforms.

Finally, a new version of Viber for WP7 Nokia Lumia phones has been released, bringing "HD-quality" phone calls and group messaging.

YouTube Finally Launches Standalone iOS App

After Apple announced it will dump its own YouTube app for iOS devices, Google set out to create its own version of the app, which is now available as a free download in the App Store.

The app brings autocomplete when searching and iOS gesture support, as well as the ability to post video links to Google+, Twitter and Facebook.
