Fans of the "King of Rock and Roll" boarded the annual Elvis Express train at Sydney's Central Station on Thursday, which makes its way to central New South Wales for the Parkes Elvis Festival, which runs from Jan 6. until Jan. 10.

It's the 24th year the festival is in operation, and this year's theme is Presley's Mexican-themed film, Fun In Acapulco. The festival itself features performances from leading tribute artists, impersonator contests, a parade with a helluva lot of floats, and of course tonnes of people dressed up as Elvis.

The festival expects to receive 20,000 visitors, nearly double the population of Parkes. Thank you very much.
