Before Scottish singer Emeli Sandé sits at home behind her piano to construct the melody and lyrics for her next song, she needs your assistance in finding inspiration. This is your chance to help an artist write music.

Sandé is asking fans to use the hashtag #FeelXE on social media to submit photos, words or sounds that represent the feeling of "exhilaration." That's the theme for her new collaborative song, which is part of Jaguar's Feel XE campaign aimed at promoting creativity and its XE sports sedan.

"I always thought It'd be cool to interact with the fans to create," Sandé, 27, told Mashable. "The challenge is I don't know what's going to come at me, but it's kind of like live music -- when you get on stage, you don't know how it's going to go. My eyes are open to different feelings of exhilaration."

Sandé, who like other digitally savvy musicians uses voice memos on her iPad to store lyrics and notes, said three things have consistently made her feel exhilarated: getting on stage, playing new songs and remembering when she performed at the 2012 London Olympics closing ceremony.

Sandé's debut album from 2012, Our Version of Events, peaked at No. 1 on the Billboard's Hot 100 singles chart in the UK, and featured the chart-topping single "Next to Me."

She is working on her sophomore album now, but is staying mum on its details. "There isn't a theme yet. It's coming together really nicely. It's gotten to the point where I know the direction it's going to go in," Sandé said. "It's early days. Right now, I'm excited where's it's going to go. It's on the next level artistically for me."
