Airplanes, like cars, require regular maintenance checks; but they're usually done behind closed hangar doors.
Emirates airline posted a time-lapse of the 3-C Check maintenance process on an Airbus A380. According to the video's description, it's "the largest maintenance check on any aircraft," and essentially requires the entire plane to be disassembled.
This kind of maintenance check typically takes weeks, but Emirates compressed the entire process into less than two minutes. Watch it all go down in the video, above.
The A380 is a luxurious airliner that Emirates says is as close to a private jet that a commercial flight gets. The craft featured in the video was the first A380 that Emirates received from Airbus, in 2008.
