Some passengers on planes hog the armrests. Some passengers are actually hogs. Hamlet, the emotional support animal of Megan Peabody, 28, is a jetsetting pig who's providing comfort in the skies.

Peabody has a fear of flying, but says having Hamlet onboard is a great help.

"I love flying, but I suffer with anxiety," Peabody told MailOnline, "so being able to pick Hamlet up, to hold, pet and comfort him makes me feel more comfortable and provides a lovely distraction.'

Hamlet, a beach hog, went through one year of training before he flew with Peabody.

Hamlet is a purveyor of all sorts of inflight dining. "He sits there nice and relaxed, and will eat vegetables and Cheerios," Peabody said.

He made it into the cockpit on an American Airlines flight, and enjoys the view from 30,000 feet.

Hamlet travels by road sometimes, too.

Under the Air Carrier Access Act, passengers are permitted to bring animals on board at no additional cost with after providing documentation from a mental health professional.

Controversial, unexpected emotional support animals have been spotted with increasing frequency.
