We know that running for office is expensive, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't hire a copy editor.

For some UK conservative candidates, this lesson had to be learned the hard way (pun so intended). An election day leaflet tweeted by Parliament member James Duddridge has one particularly large error -- election day is spelled "erection day."

Duddridge himself tweeted it out, which leads us to believe it hasn't been Photoshopped. But while the leaflet wasn't distributed -- election day is May 7 in the UK -- it's pretty astounding that the image made it through the printing stage, given the all caps, bright blue, top-of-the-page location of the gaffe.

Always have someone to proof read your leaflet. This one had no imprint and mentions Erection Day. Keep it up! pic.twitter.com/09d5l163Hc— James Duddridge (@JamesDuddridge) May 4, 2015
