If there's one person who inspires a sense of humor in us all it's ... Beyoncé?
Former football player Eric LeGrand, the Rutgers lineman who was paralyzed during a 2010 game against Army, posted a questionably funny tweet about Beyoncé's spectacular VMAs performance on Sunday night.

The picture in LeGrand's meme was one taken at the exact moment of his paralyzing injury. So, to sum up: Beyoncé was so good, she paralyzed us all.
The tweet -- like most things these days -- was polarizing, with several fans finding it amusing, while others thought it was in poor taste.

You have to love @EricLeGrand52's outlook on life. An inspiration to those looking to find positivity under tough circumstances.— Seconds to Madness (@Seconds2Madness) August 25, 2014
LeGrand has always been celebrated for his positive attitude in the face of his injury, even winning the ESPYs' Jimmy V Award for Perseverance in 2012. The former athlete later defended his joke on Twitter, insisting it was all in good, Queen Bey fun.
With my last tweet you guys can see that I have a sense of humor with my injury gotta enjoy life and laugh I know that cracked me up lol— Eric LeGrand (@EricLeGrand52) August 25, 2014
And technically, who among us can argue with LeGrand's initial point? Not Blue Ivy.
