Escaped Elephant Hits the Road, Doesn't Use a Turn Signal [VIDEO]

A two-and-a-half-ton elephant was on the run briefly in Ireland Tuesday, stopping by a coffee shop in Blackpool, Cork, before eventually being brought back to the circus.

The BBC reports that the elephant is 40 years old and got loose during bath time. Although, as the video above shows, such a large creature would seem to present a threat to humans, the elephant's keeper insists that isn't the case. Animal rights advocates, meanwhile, planned a protest over the use of animals in the circus.
