Intronis Technologies, the parent company of eSureIt's online backup services, has raised $5 million in venture capital. Similar to Mozy, the service automatically backs up your files according to a schedule that you set. The company offers a variety of plans, starting at $9.99/mo for 1GB of storage. eSureIt claims to have about 5,000 customers.

The funding comes from OpenView Venture Partners. While there are many companies offering similar solutions, the business has proved lucrative, with Mozy recently being acquired by EMC for a rumored $76 million.
