We thought it was a ridiculous reason to ban an app from the iPhone store, and so did you. But thankfully, Apple has come to its senses and approved the app. In a blog post this morning, Eucalyptus creator Jamie Montgomerie outlined a phone call he received from Apple that helped resolve the confusion and streamlined the app for approval. Thanks in part to social media, Eucalyptus got their attention.
However, this is just one of many iPhone app rejections that have received negative social media and press attention. Whether it's an inadequate application denial process or inflexible rules, something has to change with the submission process to prevent these kinds of nonsensical decisions. Apple, please add another eye to the process, rewrite the rules, or do something, because we're all confused and it's only going to happen again if nothing changes.
