Officials are scouring Europe for a suspect allegedly "directly involved" in the Paris attacks on Friday that left at least 129 people dead and 352 people injured.

French police and other authorities are searching for 26-year-old Belgium native Salah Abdeslam, allegedly the brother of one of six Paris suicide bombers. Officials questioned the suspect hours after the attack after they pulled over a car near the border with Belgium, according to the Associated Press. Police looked at his ID and sent him on his way.

Officials grew concerned that one of the attackers had escaped after discovering a car in Paris that they believe one of the attackers may have used as a getaway vehicle.

The suspect is said to have been born in Brussels.

Officials warned civilians not to "intervene on your own, under any circumstances," because the suspect is believed to be dangerous.

French officials said eight men carried out the attacks. Six of them died in suicide attacks, while one was killed by gunfire.

Authorities in France and Belgium have arrested several people since Friday, though it's unclear how or if they were connected to the attacks. Seven people arrest in France were said to be relatives of Ismail Mostefai, one of the seven attackers who carried out Friday's attacks.

Salah reportedly rented one of the cars attackers used, and helped to plan the assault's logistics.

The Islamic State has claimed responsibility for the attack.
