Eventful, the site that lets you find and demand events on a global scale, announces today that it will be working with several presidential campaigns including John Edwards, Jim Gilmore, Barack Obama, and Ron Paul. This will be an effort to reach potential voters in the U.S.

The campaigns will utilize Eventful Demand, a free online service that empowers supporters to lobby for political figures to speak in their town. Candidates can track where they are in most demand within the Eventful community, and schedule appearances accordingly. Eventful will also enable candidates to communicate with the "Demanders" directly through email. Supporters of Sm Brownback, Hillary Clinton, Rudy Giuliani, Mike Gravel and John McCain are also leveraging Eventful to request these candidates to come to their towns as well.

Eventful has incorporated several tools that would prove beneficial to candidates, including alerts, RSS feeds, calendars and bulletins of upcoming events. As Eventful is also a social network, groups can be formed within the community for networking purposes. The race for 2008 is bound to be an exciting one, and the many, many presidential hopefuls have already gone full fledged with their online campaigns in order to garner as much publicity as possible, all tapping into the power of online social networks such as MySpace, YouTube and Twitter.
