Evernote is a note-taking application that lets you save web clippings, and notes you've manually entered into the system. While still useful and easy to use, Evernote didn't have many differentiating factors from other bookmarking and organizational tools out there, until today. Downloadsquad has caught wind of Evernote's beta invites, which can be accessed at Giveaway of the Day (that gives you another 13 hours to get an Evernote account).

The new beta has some pretty nifty options for saving just about everything from your life, and comes with a desktop and mobile version in order to give you synced access to your clippings no matter where you are. For Mac users, you can use iPhoto to take a picture of a business card, and drag'n'drop it directly into your desktop Evernote application, where it will be automatically saved and archived. You don't need to tag it, just do a search for the name on the business card--Evernote searches typed and handwritten text in images (I find this to be the most useful feature of Evernote). The Windows desktop version also has an associated time line for your clipped and saved content.
