Now, on top of the fresher user interface, the new and improved Evernote iPhone app [iTunes link] includes landscape support, more accurate geo-tagging, faster photo attachments, thumbnail views, and sorting of favorite notes.
When you first fire up the new version of the app, you won't notice anything different — until you turn your iPhone sideways that is. The app's landscape support now means that from any screen, whether you're creating or viewing voice, image, and text notes, you can benefit from the convenience of the elongated view.
Evernote's also embedded a browser into the app, so now clicking on links in notes will open a browser window within the app, instead of bumping you out of the app and into Safari. Since you can quickly navigate back to your note, the embedded browser should save you time and frustration.
A few additional noteworthy features include thumbnail viewing of notes, as opposed to lists, drag-and-drop sorting of favorite notes, and geo-tagging that better pinpoints your exact location. Though it's hard to confirm, the app is supposedly much quicker when it comes to initial load, attaching photos, and overall performance.
