Instead of the '70s, it's the '80s. Instead of high school, it's college. Instead of hazing with paddles, it's hazing with copious amounts of duct tape.

It's the trailer for Everybody Wants Some, Richard Linklater's spiritual sequel to his laid back 1993 high school classic Dazed and Confused. Named after Van Halen's energetic song, the film follows college freshmen on a baseball team as they navigate the school's social circles.

Actor Blake Jenner plays Jake, the spiritual Mitch of the squad, who's just trying to fit in with the older guys and flirt with a girl named Beverly (Zoey Deutch).

There are also plenty of winks back at Dazed and Confused, like scenes in a pool hall, a rock'n'roll soundtrack and Slater-approved stoner banter.

Everybody Wants Some will be released in spring 2016.
