You know what's overrated? Using your hands to put together a hot dog.

Get with the game and use an eight-and-a-half ton excavator, like the pros.

Finnish excavator operator Juha-Pekki Perämäki was tapped to be in this commercial after Statoil, a chain of gas stations in northern Europe, discovered videos highlighting his skills. An excavator is a piece of heavy construction equipment made for digging big holes, and in this case, constructing hot dogs.

The company wanted to promote the fact that its stations are now offering better hot dogs, so they had Juha-Pekki assemble a hot dog for his friend, Antti.

According to an email sent to Mashable from creative agency SMFB Engine which produced this video, there were no special effects employed, and Juha-Peki only screwed up once in 30 takes. He's a precision excavator operator.

Next question: Do they have Nobel prizes for precision excavators?
